Overview

Join a dynamic opening team in a historic renovated building with a unique concept! The Cambria Hotel Boston Logan Airport is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to support our Housekeeping operation and help ensure every guest receives fresh, clean, and well-maintained linens throughout their stay.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, organization, consistency, and being an important part of a team behind the scenes.

Position Summary

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the daily processing of hotel linens and terry, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, organizing, and distributing clean items to support Housekeeping operations. This position helps maintain proper linen availability while following hotel standards for cleanliness, quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

· Sort soiled sheets, towels, pillowcases, and other linens according to type, fabric, and washing requirements

· Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and according to established procedures

· Use laundry chemicals properly and follow all manufacturer, hotel, and safety guidelines

· Monitor wash and dry cycles and remove completed loads promptly to maintain an efficient workflow

· Fold and organize clean linens and terry according to hotel standards

· Inspect finished laundry for stains, damage, excessive wear, and overall quality; rewash or remove items from circulation as appropriate

· Maintain adequate clean-linen levels and communicate shortages or operational concerns to Housekeeping leadership

· Organize linen storage areas, laundry carts, shelving, and supplies to support efficient daily operations

· Assist with linen inventories, counts, and control procedures as directed

· Clean lint traps, equipment surfaces, floors, worktables, carts, and laundry areas throughout the shift

· Report equipment malfunctions, leaks, unusual noises, chemical concerns, and safety hazards immediately

· Follow proper lifting, chemical-handling, sanitation, safety, and personal protective equipment procedures

· Work closely with Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Housekeeping leadership to ensure linen is available when needed

· Assist with stocking linen closets, transporting clean and soiled linen, and other Housekeeping duties as business demands

· Maintain professional conduct in guest areas and promptly communicate guest requests to the appropriate team member

Qualifications

· Previous hotel, commercial laundry, housekeeping, or related experience preferred but not required

· Strong attention to detail with pride in cleanliness, organization, and quality

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established operating procedures

· Dependable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team

· Ability to safely operate commercial laundry equipment; training will be provided

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, twist, push, and pull

· Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds and maneuver loaded laundry or linen carts

· Comfort working in a laundry environment that may be warm and humid

· Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands
